Part-Time Team Member
About Us
Uncommon Ice Cream is a locally owned ice cream shop in Boston’s South End, creating uncommon flavors, fresh, in-house. We’re passionate about delivering great ice cream, excellent service, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a friendly, reliable, and hardworking part-time team member to join our shop. This role is 15–25 hours per week, nights and weekends. Pay is $16–$18/hour plus tips.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve all menu items to guests
Process transactions accurately using a POS system
Deliver excellent guest service and create a welcoming environment for adults, children and four legged visitors
Maintain store cleanliness and follow all sanitation guidelines
Complete inventory tasks, including receiving and organizing vendor deliveries
Follow Uncommon Ice Cream’s standards for safety, hygiene, attire and employee conduct
Requirements
Ability to operate a POS system
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
Flexible availability, with at least three shifts per week (nights and weekends required)
Ability to stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods of time
Able to safely lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Food handler’s certificate a plus
